:: Representative for South Asia 2009-2011
“Love & fear should not mix with each other"
I am Rojy and I am the EICYAC representative for South Asia. I also work as a Youth Motivator for the Youth Partnership Project (YPP) of Aparajeyo-Bangladesh since last year. I have been involved with this project for about four years. I had been working as a Peer Supporter in the same project before I became a Youth Motivator. Before joining Aparajeyo-Bangladesh, I worked for the children through a child club under the Society for Underprivileged Families. I enjoy working with young people in the YPP. My best interest is to support the young people who suffer from different types of problems and who require special attention when they encounter any risky situation. I am working against the commercial sexual exploitation of children and like to continue my effort further as an EICYAC representative. We have a lot of responsibilities to the young people as we are only two EICYAC representatives for South Asia region. I'm hopeful about continuing my cooperation with the other EICYAC members in future.
I live in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. I'm studying and hope to continue my studies even further. I'm also a reporter for an initiative (Ichche Media) run by Save the Children. This media publishes newsletters, organizes theatre and drama and conducts training on video editing and photography. I enjoy travelling and gossiping with friends.
“Simple life and great thinking!"
I am Sabina from Nepal. I am EICYAC representative for South Asia. I am also the President of Kishowri Samuha (Adolescent Forum) in my community. In 2004 we formed this forum. We have received special trainings for adolescents and we carry out different activities such as trainings to young people and their parents, street drama, drawing competitions, a speech competition about sexual exploitation and child abuse.
